Wedding photography of a wedding photographer's wedding

It is always a compliment when another wedding photographer books you for their wedding. To be allowed to photograph Hannah and Iain getting married at Staverton Park in Northamptonshire earlier this year was a real honour. I began the day at Hana’s parents home where I found a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Due to its novelty value for me, I really enjoyed talking shop with with as she was getting ready. This type of conversation rarely sees the light of day unfortunately, as everyone else in the world who is not a photographer, finds it incredibly boring. While I did not monopolise Hana’s morning with this chitter chatter, it was nice to have something in common.
Although there was a smattering of rain here and there, the cloud cover gave me some beautiful soft light. A Northamptonshire wedding photographer loves to work with such beautiful light! Don’t I get excited about little things?
