[wpcol_1quarter id=”” class=”” style=””]Kenilworth is a historic town in the centre of Warwickshire. A small town with a population of around 24,000 it is located 6 miles south of Coventry, 6 miles north of Warwick and about 90 miles north-west of London.
The first recorded acknowledgement of Kenilworth was in the 1086 Domesday book, where it was documented as being a small settlement of [/wpcol_1quarter] [wpcol_3quarter_end id=”” class=”” style=””][/wpcol_3quarter_end]approximately 100 villagers, in a clearing in the Forest of Arden.
Shortly after the Norman conquest, King Henry gifted a portion of land from his Stoneleigh Estate to Geoffrey de Clinton. In the early 12th Century, Geoffrey de Clinton founded a priory and started the work on the castle. Today, Kenilworth is a small market town in heart of the lush green countryside of Warwickshire and at the centre of England.
