It is fantastic for me to start picking up more weddings near me in Pershore, Worcestershire. Wedding photography at Salford Hall, near Evesham, was easy as it suits my style perfectly. With all lovely, beautifully kept grounds, the stunning interiors, with wood beams and dark wood panelling and soft light coming through the windows. As a reportage wedding photographer, one could feel a little spoilt being hired to work in a wedding venue such as this. It has to be said, Tracy & Russ were not my usual customer. Having been together for over 30 years, their children all grown up and left home, it was lovely to see how intertwined they were as people. They are a complete couple and it is plain to see how they were like two peas in a pod.
I have to shoehorn this bit in… I loved that they included their dogs into the ceremony. Especially as one of them got free, minutes before the ceremony, and as the dog knew everyone in the church, it had to say hello to them all, much to the dismay of the person trying to get the dog back under control. Hilarious! ?
It was a lovely day and I felt privileged to witness Tracy & Russ get married this June. Congratulations to you both!

1) Please tell me how you first met?
We met in Birmingham. Russ was standing on the balcony as I was walking past. Russ said do you fancy a curry.

2) When was it you knew they were the one?
We didn’t want to rush into it but after 33 years we thought, oh damn it let’s do it!
3) Could you give us the story of the proposal?
After being proposed to by russ about 30 times, I thought damn it, I’ll say yes!

4) If you don’t mind sharing, can you tell me something quirky, funny or silly about your partner?
Tracy snores and Russell moans.

5) What is your perfect day together?
We like to go out to eat and also on walks.
6) Apart from the obvious, what are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
We love having family and friends together for a very special day.

7) What was it that inspired you to go for the theme or the decor you chose for your wedding?
I am well know for not being able to make up my mind, so our day, is a bit of a mash up of different things.

8) Please tell me one thing you wish you had known at the beginning of your wedding planning process, that you could pass on to future bride’s reading this blog?
First of all, plan early, budget and don’t forget it is “I will” instead of “I do”.
9) When searching, what were you were looking for in a wedding venue?
The location of the wedding definitely played a big part, due to all guests having the chance to stay overnight at the venue. Privacy also played a big part.

10) Could you tell me the process you went through when you were looking for a wedding photographer?
We looked online and really liked Duncan’s style and after our meeting we knew found what we were looking for i.e. quality and a very good portfolio.
