Well…this was my first wedding of the 2011 wedding season, which will be my last full season in Cyprus. My intent with this blog, over the coming months, is to showcase my work to the people getting married in the Midlands area (and the rest of the UK). Hopefully, it will give a much broader sense of the quality of photography I have to offer when I arrive back in the Worcestershire area this November.
Stacy & Christopher were married on Monday 4th April, at the Alexander the Great Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus. It was a low key, but very personal wedding. There were only 7 people (including the Stacy & Christopher) at the wedding. Normally, to hear of such a small wedding party would fill me with apprehension as it is a lot harder to blend into the background and do my job well. However, at this wedding, they just ignored me and got on and enjoyed themselves regardless of what I was doing. This was absolutely fantastic! I was able to stand back and just observe At the same time, there was also good communication, fun and jokes all day. A great atmosphere! This was a lovely for me as I was able to grab the photos I wanted and have a good laugh. A perfect combination I think…and made all the more special by the fact this was a Scottish wedding with full traditional attire, complete with the lack of underpants!
The weather in Paphos was a little ominous to say the least. It was bright and there was no rain but the threat was there. As a consequence, the light was lovely and soft and the clouds were very dramatic. It was visually stunning and wonderful to work with. Please feel free to leave any feedback as I would love to hear from you.
