This was my first time photographing a wedding at the stunningly beautiful Sulgrave Manor in the Oxfordshire counrtyside near Banbury. A wedding venue steeped in history, Sulgrave Manor offers so many beautiful locations to photograph the bride and groom. I was literally spoilt for choice and wish I had a little more time to fully explore this wonderful building. As with any wedding, time is always tight, but I was over the moon with the results. Indoors the light is dim but the window is amazing. Love, love, love!
Panutcha and Jonathan’s wedding had a great atmosphere, with everyone being very friendly and very helpful. One of the big things during a wedding is the family photos. With a little help from Jonathan’s brother, the organisation of the guests was very efficient, like a well oiled machine. So a big thank you to him!
I would just like to thank Panutcha & Jonathan for inviting me to their magnificent wedding day. I had a great time and would like to wish them all the best for their future journey together. Congratulations!!
1) Please tell me how you first met? The what, when, where’s and how’s?
We met online, then spent a long time talking on messenger before we met. I finally convinced Panutcha to go on a date to Camden market on the 16th August 2012. We also visited the Tate modern to prove how cultural we were (trying to impress) and soon realised we both had no interest in modern art, spent the rest of the day sat by the Thames enjoying the sun. At the time I lived in Bicester and Panutcha lived Brighton.
2) When was it you knew they were the one? Was is something in particular they did?, Did they grind you down? (joke) etc. etc.
Yes I ground her down. Not sure Panutcha was that bothered about a second date, and it took over a month for us to have a second date, so then we met in Brighton for the day. Two weeks after that we had another date in Brighton for the day. Over the next few weekends I stayed down in Brighton. Then Panutcha came to see me in Bicester, as she hates travelling on trains and gets bored easily the fact she had made the effort meant a lot to me. Over the next year I would drive down most Friday nights and drive back to work early Monday morning. When we had to decide our next step Panutcha moved permanently to Bicester, this meant a lot to leave her friends and exciting Brighton for little boring Bicester.
I’m not sure when I knew she was the one, I just knew it was worth all the travelling for this special girl.
3) Could you give us the story of the proposal? Please leave out no details… (Was it a surprise?, Was it elaborate?, How did it make you feel?)
Panutcha knew its was proposal weekend, as she had chosen the ring! We went away for the night to Woburn Hotel and the next day to a wildlife park. I had booked falcon flying and feeding the Lima’s, it was a great fun day and very memorable. I ask her just after our Lima experience. I had managed to keep her in the dark about what we were doing. She always said she hated the idea of being proposed too over a romantic dinner. So the night before I booked a romantic dinner(and didn’t ask) so the next day was even more of a surprise.
4) Please share what you most love about each other?
Her fun zest for life and the affection she shows me.
5) What is your perfect day together? (apart from the wedding day)
Anything which involves eating great food. Cooking our own, finding new restaurants, or exploring on holiday to see what we can find which is local.
6) Apart from the obvious, what are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
The food! Lol . The chance for Panutcha’s mum to meet my family and just to see every we love together.
7) There are so many different wedding styles you can choose from. What is your favourite wedding trend at the moment?
The best answer is what ever Panutcha likes. I think we have just gone for what we like which is just pretty and lots of flowers, we are not really into all the gimmicks.
8) What was it that inspired you to go for the theme or the décor you chose for your wedding?
The venue and as above just pretty.
9) Please tell me one thing you wish you had known at the beginning of your wedding planning process?
Time runs away with you faster than you think. Panutcha likes pretty things and shopping not organising.
