For wedding photography, Deer Park Hall near Pershore in Worcestershire is one of the most epic venues around. Sitting on top of Bredon Hill, the views are outstanding! …and the sunsets are to die for!! However, Deer Park Hall is so much more than the view. I have been there a few times now for various jobs (photo, video, and drone) and I have seen firsthand how incredibly chilled it is up there. Not to mention the amazing atmosphere an outdoor venue creates. I love it! But…Emma & Tommy’s wedding had its own little bit of magic. Not only was it glorious sunshine all day long, but their wedding day also happened to be on the day a certain plant released its seeds into the world.
Throughout the day, there was an unending flow of tiny white seeds floating on the breeze all around Deer Park Hall. This created an enchanting, serene fairytale feel to their wedding. It was wonderful!! I only wish the camera could have picked that up better.
Deer Park Hall put together such a stunning wedding for them, I cannot wait to go back again this July!!
Congratulations Emma & Tommy!
1) Please tell me how you first met.
We first met 5 years ago whilst working together in the kitchens at Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons. After our first date, we were inseparable.

2) When was it you knew they were the one?
There was never really a particular time, it was perfect from the beginning. I count myself very lucky to have fallen in love with someone who is not only my partner but my best friend too.

3) Could you give us the story of the proposal?
Emma – Tommy proposed back where it all began. Tommy whisked me away for a surprise trip to stay at the hotel where we first met. After a romantic meal, we headed back to our suite where Tommy got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course, it was a no-brainer!
Tommy – I decided to propose to Emma where we first met. It was in the hotel room and I told her she was perfect except for not being my wife.

4) If you don’t mind sharing, can you tell me something quirky, funny, or silly about your partner?
A common question in our household is “How hungry are you on a scale of 1 to 46?” Neither of us is really sure how the scale came about, but it’s stuck! Tommy also has another game he likes to play, but I don’t think I can really write it down for the internet to see!!!

5) What is your perfect day together?
Our perfect day has to be taking our little boy out somewhere new to explore, there’s nothing better than seeing his face light up when he’s having such a fun day! Finished off with good food and a glass of wine!

6) Apart from the obvious, what are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
Tommy – Seeing Liam, and all the little kids enjoying themselves and joining them all on the bouncy castle!! And of course, seeing Emma in her dress!
Emma – I’m so excited to finally see all of our hard work come together, to have all of our friends and family in one place and seeing all of the kids playing together!

7) What was it that inspired you to go for the theme or the decor you chose for your wedding?
I’ve always loved these colors so it was a no-brainer for me really! We also wanted the wedding to be quite laid back so it made sense to have a “rustic” look.

8) Please tell me one thing you wish you had known at the beginning of your wedding planning process, that you could pass on to future bride’s reading this blog?
I wish someone had told me to create a separate email address only for wedding vendors, it gets to be quite hard work backtracking through tons of emails to find what you need! We also found giving ourselves 2 years to plan the wedding and booking things quite far in advance took away a lot of the pressure and stress.

9) When searching, what were you were looking for in a wedding venue?
I always knew I wanted to get married where I grew up, and having worked for our caterers several years ago, I always knew Deer Park Hall was the place for me long before Tommy and I had ever met.

10) Could you tell me the process you went through when you were looking for a wedding photographer?
We searched the internet for local wedding photographers and made a shortlist of photographers we liked the style of. We settled on Duncan because we just love the way his photos look so relaxed and not staged! It’s great to see the day unfold so naturally in the photos.
