Being as this was February, we had a fantastic piece of luck with the weather. Although cold (to be expected), the sun graced us with its presence for Kryzi & Ben’s wedding in the West Midlands. Wedding Photographers in Coventry would love the opportunity to photograph such a lovely and welcoming group of people at this special location. What I liked about this wedding was the originality and thought that went into making their wedding so personal to them and ultimately, a reflection Kryzi & Ben’s individuality. We had Pirates, Parrots, a little toy owl buried in the bouquet (Kryzi’s favourite toy growing up) and plenty of loveliness in between. Congratulation Kryzi & Ben! 🙂

Kryzi & Ben’s Love Story

1) Please tell me how you first met? The what, when, where’s and how’s?
We met a friend’s sister’s Beatle’s tribute band gig, our friend Cod had sold tickets to all his friends. Me and Ben were in different groups of his friends, but the group Ben knew didn’t turn up so Cod introduced him to the group I was with. The gig was in a pub called the jailhouse, so technically we met in Jail.

At one point I needed to go to the loo and it’s the sort of venue with disgusting wet floors in the toilets. I didn’t want to take my handbag with me to the toilet as I would have nowhere to put it so I asked my Brother to hold it for me, he refused because *it would make him look gay* my handbag was from the men’s section of H&M and he is gay. After a couple of minutes of watching this sibling bickering Ben took pity on me and offered to hold my handbag whilst I went to the loo.

2) Could you give us the story of the proposal? Please leave out no details… (Was it a surprise?, Was it elaborate?, How did it make you feel?)
21st of Feb will be our 12th anniversary so we talked about it and decided it was a good time to get married.

3) Please share what you most love about each other?
Ben makes me smile 🙂

Kryzi loves me for who I am and doesn’t try to change me. And she gives the best hugs .

4) What is your perfect day together? (apart from the wedding day)
A lie in with a bacon sandwich for brunch, followed by watching a rugby match in the afternoon and a gig in the evening.

5) Apart from the obvious, what are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
Beer in inspire, we have been going to inspire every Thursday since we started dating!

6) There are so many different wedding styles you can choose from. What is your favourite wedding trend at the moment?
Kryzi – I have no idea what the current wedding trends are.

Ben – I’d go so far as to say that I’m not even aware that there *are* wedding trends…

7) What was it that inspired you to go for the theme or the decor you chose for your wedding?
I’m a tomboy, my dad told me as a teenager that I couldn’t spend my whole life in jeans and doc martens, that at least on my wedding day I would have to wear a pretty dress and nice proper shoes. A couple of months after I met Ben I found a pair of beautiful white doc martens and bought them knowing if I ever got married that was what I was wearing. Ben also wears Doc Martens all the time. So we have Bride, Groom, Best Man and Bridesmaids all in Doc Martens.

8) Please tell me one thing you wish you had known at the beginning of your wedding planning process?
Kryzi – Apparently 4 months is not enough time to buy a wedding dress in most shops!
Ben – That everyone asks so many questions 😉
